The New York School Public Relations Association 39th Annual Communications Contest is now open!

Our annual awards recognize and celebrate outstanding achievement in educational communications. The awards continue to be one of the largest in the nation and provide both members and non-members with a time to shine and an opportunity to showcase exemplary communication practices.

Statewide awards provide recognition for outstanding work. They build a greater appreciation for the skills of school public relations professionals and promote a better understanding of the broad range of services rendered by those who have either full or part-time responsibilities for education-related communications.

NYSPRA has been named a 2018 Exemplary Chapter in the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) Mark of Distinction Awards program.

The Mark of Distinction was given to NYSPRA for being an Exemplary Chapter in the Special Focus Area: Professional Development/PR Skill Building for its year-round program.

NSPRA judges were impressed with NYSPRA's "efforts to grow the chapter, develop a five-year strategic plan, and increase the value of membership through professional development and frequent communication."

“We are extremely grateful and honored to receive this recognition from NSPRA. The NYSPRA leadership team is dedicated and focused on continually improving the value of membership,” said NYSPRA President Bill Cameron. “We are excited about the direction the chapter is headed and will continue to do the work needed to put together the best resources and professional development for our members.”
